The teaching activities of the Departmentof Integrative Health and Prevention at the Institute of Environmental Medicine are currently being developed and will be guided by national and international best practices that convey Integrative Medicine in a scientifically rigorous and interdisciplinary manner. Planned formats include practice?oriented courses that innovatively combine conventional medical content with evidence?based TCIM, addressing both theoretical foundations and clinically relevant competencies. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering critical appraisal skills, methodological literacy, and a reflective, patient?centered understanding of Integrative Medicine and TCIM-methods.
?
The overarching goal is to introduce students and trainees early on to integrative and evidence?informed thinking, enabling them to evaluate different medical approaches based on scientific evidence and to integrate them responsibly into clinical decision?making. Teaching will be closely linked with clinical practice, research activities, and the Bavarian health?care landscape, and will be continuously refined to reflect current scientific developments, societal challenges, and the demands of a contemporary health?care system.
