Italian Language and Literature (Two Subject Bachelor) (B.A.)

Study content:

Italo-Romance Studies provides practical linguistic, literary and linguistic competences of Italian and introduces students to the working methods and objects of linguistic, literary and cultural studies. Further central components of the degree programme are specialised language competences in the areas of listening comprehension, oral and written expression, translation as well as autonomous language learning, in addition to the broad-based basic philological knowledge. Last but not least, key competences in the area of research and information management can be acquired.

Special features

For this degree programme, a knowledge of Italian at CEFR levels B1/B2 (recommended) is required. Students who have reached level B1 by the start of the programme will be offered a course at the Language Centre to help them achieve level B2.
