Examinations at the Faculty of Medicine
Regular examinations usually take place in the last week of the lecture period and the first week of the lecture-free period. Repeat examinations usually take place in the last week before the start of the following semester.

Examination dates are published by the Examinations Office on the homepage as soon as they have been scheduled and announced by the faculty.

We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from making inquiries about them.

Third part (Dritter Abschnitt, M3)
Registration by the 10th of June 2025
For administrative reasons, we kindly ask that:
- a certificate of practical clinical training (PJ Bescheinigung) for the first tertial, or any credit documents for completed practical year tertials abroad, be submitted together with the application for admission to the third part of the medical examination (?rtzlichen Prüfung),
- a certificate of practical clinical training (PJ Bescheinigung) for the second tertial, or credit documents from completed practical year tertials abroad, be submitted unsolicited after they have been received by the end of July 2025 at the latest (beginning of the practical year in November),
- a confirmation of practical clinical training (PJ Bescheinigung) for the third tertial, or credit documents from completed practical year tertials abroad, be submitted unsolicited to the Examinations Office by 27.10.2025 at the latest, otherwise there is a risk of not being admitted to the examination.
The examination dates will be in November/December.
Examination candidates will receive an invitation letter by post, including the names of the examiners, around four weeks prior to the examination date.

Enrolment data for the winter semester 2025/26 will be transferred from the Registrar’s Office to the Examinations Office probably at the end of November.
For this reason, changes to data are not yet visible in Studis. In particular, registration of first-semester students is not yet possible in the Studis system.

You can find information about updates to the module catalogue in Digicampus under the event “Studis-Modulhandbuch.” To stay informed about changes, please register as a participant in the event

General information about examination registration
It is possible to register and de-register from modules during the examination registration period. It is not possible to register or de-register after the registration period has ended. If during the registration period you realise that you cannot prepare for or take part in all the planned modules, please de-register from the examination during the registration/de-registration period.
If you fall ill during the examination period or you are not sure you can make the examination deadline, please obtain a doctor’s certificate in case you need to apply for an extension of the deadline for the orientation examination or for the maximum study time.
If you cannot find a module in Studis, please send an email containing the following information to the Examinations Office:?
- Surname, Name
- Enrolment no. (Matrikelnummer)
- Module no. (You can find this in Digicampus under ‘module’ or in the module catalogue)
- Module group
- Title of the module
- Credit points
- Indication of the technical problem or error message
