Research Associate (m/f/d) at postdoctoral level, Faculty of Applied Computer Science
At the University of Augsburg for the Augsburg Bioinformatics Core Facility (ABC) with a focus on single-cell data analysis and scientific support of biomedical research projects is seeking to fill, at the earliest possible date, a position for a Research Associate (m/f/d) at postdoctoral level The position will initially be filled as a civil servant on a fixed-term basis (Beamten-verh?ltnis auf Zeit) for a period of three years at full-time hours. The position is suitable for part-time employment. Subsequently, a transition to a probationary/permanent civil servant position (Beamtenverh?ltnis auf Probe/Lebenszeit) as a Research Associate is intended. The successful candidate will act as a scientific contributor, collaborating closely with the ABC leadership and other senior scientists with strong international track records, as well as faculty members, clinical researchers, and computational scientists, with a particular emphasis on single-cell and multi-omics data integration in translational research projects. The position is organizationally affiliated with the Modeling and Simulation of Biological Processes Lab at the University of Augsburg. The lab integrates quantitative systems modeling with advanced AI and machine learning approaches to identify novel therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell sequencing and deep learning to decode complex disease mechanisms and improve patient outcomes.
