The chair focuses on applied research and teaching based on current theoretical and methodological knowledge in the field of?industrial organization?and information economics. As it operates in between economics and business administration, the research?contributes to both, public policy as well as corporate policy. Realistic theoretical and empirical analysis of markets with respect to strategic decisions of companies and?market results including?their evaluation and the resulting economic policies form?the basis for any research. Special focus lies on?topics such as financial services, regulation, strategic behavior and incentives, where information plays a crucial role for successful economic decision-making.
