About the Institute of Environmental Law
The Institute of Environmental Law, founded in 1991, is part of the Faculty of Law at the University of Augsburg. It develops the scientific basis of Constitutional Environmental Law and Administrative Environmental Law, including its European and International considerations.
It further connects general Economic Law and questions regarding sustainability and ecological welfare.
Events
The Institute for Environmental Law organizes the annual German Environmental and Infrastructure Law Conference. The conference focuses on current issues in environmental and infrastructure law. In addition, the Institute offers opportunities for academic exchange through smaller events.
Research and publications
The Institute for Environmental Law researches the foundations of environmental constitutional and administrative law, including its European and international legal determinants, with particular consideration of economic law implications.
