Announcing the Winner of the MaLeNe 2026 Best Presentation Award

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jonas Wessner from the University of Ulm has been awarded the Best Presentation Award, presented by Siemens. The award was given at the 7th KuVS Fachgespr?ch/Workshop on Machine Learning in Networking (MaLeNe 2026), held at the University of Augsburg.?
In his presentation titled “Automated Network Access Control with LLMs”, he demonstrated how large language models can be leveraged to automatically translate help desk tickets into network access control policy updates, effectively bridging user requests and low-level configuration tasks. His work highlighted both the potential of LLMs to accurately interpret user intent and generate meaningful configuration changes in controlled scenarios, as well as the remaining challenges regarding robustness, reliability, and seamless integration into production environments.?
We also extend our sincere thanks to Siemens for sponsoring the award and supporting MaLeNe 2026, thereby contributing to the continued success of the event and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.?

Congratulations to Mr. Jonas Wessneron this well-deserved recognition.
