Use of AI Tools in Theses, Project and Research Modules, and Course Projects?
For theses, project and research modules, as well as for project work within our courses (with the exception ofIntroduction to Python Programming), the use of AIbased tools is generally permitted. However, it is essential that you fully understand the code, analyses, and text generated with these tools. This includes critically assessing whether experimental results are trustworthy, whether methodological choices make sense, and whether the written text is wellstructured and comprehensible (see also the guidelines on scientific writing: https://annefried.github.io/posts/2020-09-01-scientific_writing).?
At the end of your work, you must include a onepage reflection (DIN A4) in the appendix. This reflection should describe how you used AI: in which parts of the work it played a significant role, where it was particularly helpful, and where substantial manual revision or independent work was required. This reflection must be written entirely in your own words (in German or English). Spelling and grammar errors are not evaluated in this section.?
