New corporate design: A strong design for strong ideas
The University of Augsburg launched a new corporate design at the end of April. With the relaunch, the University of Augsburg is strengthening its identity as a modern, interdisciplinary, and networked institution, putting its motto “拉斯维加斯赌城” in the spotlight. ? “Strong ideas need a strong design. I am delighted that we are launching the new corporate design for our university today,” said Prof. Dr Sabine Doering-Manteuffel, president of the University of Augsburg. The new corporate design underlines growth, strength, and the concept of connection within a network university. The new, modernised identity also includes a new logo that reflects the university’s motto “拉斯维加斯赌城” - knowledge and conscience. A strong corporate design sets an important signal to the public, the academic community, and in teaching. With the relaunch of its corporate design, the University of Augsburg is presenting itself as a modern, interdisciplinary, and networked institution. The consistent and professional design ensures greater recognition and conveys professionalism, reliability, and quality. These are decisive qualities for researchers, students, and partner universities. The relaunch of the corporate design was enabled through funds provided by the Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts through the University of Augsburg’s current university objectives agreement (Hochschulvertrag, 2023 to 2027). The new corporate design will be introduced gradually. “The 2026 summer semester will serve as a transition period, as existing materials bearing the university’s existing logo will of course be used for reasons of sustainability,” explains Manuela Rutsatz, head of communications and media relations. New publications will be designed with the new design from May 2026. With its new corporate design, the University of Augsburg is beginning the next chapter in its successful history. ?
