Since 2020, members of the ISLA Institute have collaborated as PIs, Speakers, and Board Members to the implementation of the International Doctorate Program "Rethinking Environment" (Elite Network of Bavaria) at the Universities of Augsburg and LMU Munich. To enrich the interdisciplinary Environmental Humanities epistemologically with up-and-coming Global South perspectives, the UmWelten Working Group was established at ISLA in 2025, collaborating with the Augsburg Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences et al.
