The Junior Professorship for Data-driven Product Engineering and Design is part of the Chair of Materials Engineering at the Institute for Materials Resource Management (MRM) and bridges the gap between machine learning and engineering sciences.

The central focus of our work is determining how complex components - specifically those made from fiber-reinforced composites - can be developed more quickly, reliably, and sustainably, from initial manufacturing to the very end of the product lifecycle.
